Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 3 has already created a lot of buzz in Hollywood almost a year before its expected theatrical release. The Proposal star went on to become the face of the R-rated superhero franchise in 2016.
During an interview with a media outlet, Ryan Reynolds spoke about the sexuality of Deadpool. He hinted at how his sexuality is also different in comparison to the other superheroes.
Ryan Reynolds Talks About The Sexuality Of Deadpool
During an interview with the media outlet Variety in 2017, Ryan Reynolds spoke about his movie Deadpool, and the character development of the superhero. While talking about the sexuality of Deadpool, he even pointed out that his version of Deadpool is way different from Superman and Batman. He said-
“Deadpool is so feminine. At least in how I saw him.”
He further added-
”What is love to Deadpool may not be what love is to Batman or someone else. I think that could be played up more. He’s an outsider in every way, shape, and form.”
While talking about Deadpool during the interview with Variety, Ryan Reynolds mentioned
“The great thing about Deadpool is that we’re allowed to do things that other superhero movies don’t necessarily do, and that’s probably one of them. It’s something that I’d love to see more of, certainly through Wade, certainly through this universe, because it’s something that we’re building out more. We have a lot of tools in the shed that we get to play with.”
Ryan Reynolds is an active supporter of the LGBTQ community and has been quite vocal about sharing his views on social media or in public.
Ryan Reynolds On Audience Expectation From Deadpool
Deadpool is loved and appreciated by fans all around the world for his humor and out-of-the-box attitude towards life. During an interview with Variety, the Canadian actor spoke about the kind of expectations the audience has from the franchise and how it totally drives him crazy at times. He said-
“By the time we were in post, we’d been to Comic-Con, and people went crazy for it. The expectations were eating me alive. I’m lucky to have her around just to keep me sane.”
Ryan Reynolds was drawn to the character of Deadpool in 2004 when he read the comic strip. The script of Deadpool was co-written by the actor as well as Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick in 2009, but it got a green signal in 2014. The first installment of Deadpool was released in 2016 and went on to become a great financial and critical success. It went on to earn over $782 million against a $58 million budget.
Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 3 is slated to release on May 3, 2024.
