“What the f***k you talking about?”: Kevin Hart’s Plan Backfired After Comedian Tried To Teach His Kids About the Reality of the “Other Side”
Without a doubt, one of the most gifted performers working today is Kevin Hart. He began his career as a stand-up comedian before going on to become an actor in films such as Scary Movie 3, Jumanji series, The Secret Life of Pets series, etc., which helped him build a devoted following.
With the publication of his first stand-up album, I’m a Grown Little Man, in 2009 and the subsequent release of four more albums that were well-received by the public, Hart’s humorous profile has only grown with time. The comedian-actor said that although he tried to teach his children about their heritage, it didn’t work out. Let’s know what happened.
Kevin Hart’s attempt to humble his kids backfired
In his appearance on Joe Rogan Experience, Kevin Hart discussed how he wanted his kids to know about their roots, which is why he took them to his hometown of Philadelphia thinking that he could teach them about facing the other side of the world, but it backfired at him.
He explained to Joe Rogan that he said to his kids:
“This fairy tale we’re in isn’t real and at some point when I’m not around, when your mother’s not around, when your friends or other family aren’t around, you may get tested with the other side that’s out there that you’ve never seen. So I have got to prepare you for the things that you don’t know exist.”
The actor explained that he tried to show his kids where he grew up thinking that they’d be surprised but in return, they said that it was so cool and asked him if they could live there. Hart said he said to his kids at the time,
“Shut up, What the f***k you talking about? Get in the car.”
The actor also added that he walked his kids around the neighbourhood and heard his kids say things like how did they play without the grass, the steps are broken, and more such thing which the comedian says makes one realize how different their lives are.
Kevin Hart announces partnership with the Atlanta Hawks
Kevin Hart and 11th-generation tequila producer Juan Domingo Beckmann’s, Gran Coramino Tequila, has announced a multi-year partnership to become the Spirit of the Atlanta Hawks. The partnership was unveiled before the Hawks’ 2023-24 regular-season opener against Charlotte.
Hart said via The Hype Magazine,
“This partnership marries two of my biggest passions: sports and tequila. Last year, I made the State Farm Arena a stop on my comedy tour, but this year, I wanted to find a way to connect with them long-term.”
He continued,
“ To build anticipation for this basketball season, my tequila brand signed a sponsorship deal that bonds the Hawks and Gran Coramino together. I am excited for Hawks fans to become fans of my tequila once they have the chance to try it out!”
Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena Chief Executive Officer Steve Koonin said via The Source;
“Kevin Hart has always been a dedicated supporter, and we couldn’t have been happier that he wanted to bring Gran Coramino to Atlanta and State Farm Arena in such a major way. We look forward to a long-lasting partnership and one that our fans can enjoy the taste of whenever they are visiting our venue.”
Atlanta holds significance in the comedian-actor’s life as he has filmed many projects in the city and performed sold-out shows at the Sate Farm Arena.
