Jodie Foster is one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. Having started her career in Hollywood at just 3 years of age, she established herself as an accomplished actress by the time she was a teen. In her career spanning nearly six decades, she has won numerous accolades including two Academy Awards, three BAFTAs, and three Golden Globe Awards.

Although Jodie Foster has never been big on talking about her personal life publicly, the media obviously would not have it that way, and her sexual orientation was once a topic of great discussion until she confirmed her relationship with producer Cydney Bernard in 2007. The relationship came to an end in 2008. Years later, Foster married photographer Alexandra Hedison privately.

Since Foster does not speak much about Hedison publicly, there is a curiosity to find out who the actress’s beloved wife is.

Alexandra Hedison Prefers Staying Out of the Limelight

While Jodie Foster is constantly in the limelight due to her profession, Alexandra Hedison prefers staying out of it. This is the reason why Hedison found acting unsatisfying, unlike photography. In an interview with the New York Times, she said: ”I was supporting myself, but I was miserable. Actors need to be front and center all the time. That’s not me.”

Although Hedison is not a fan of the limelight, she has been related to Hollywood for a long time now because of her parents’ professions. Her father David Hedison is an actor who is most prominently known for his performance as James Bond’s ally in the movies Live and Let Die (1973) and License to Kill (1989). Her mother has also worked as a production associate in the entertainment industry.

Alexandra Hedison also dated Ellen DeGeneres from 2000 to 2004. In the aforementioned interview with the New York Times, she jokingly said:

“I’d have to be Oprah to compete with her. Hey, I admit that there are times that I can’t get a reservation at a hot restaurant unless I mention that it’s for me and Ellen. But I have to do my photography because that’s my work, and it makes me so happy.”
