According to rumors, Beyoncé and Jay-Z paid a whopping $200 million for a home in California. The Carters have now ousted billionaire Marc Andreessen as the owners of the most expensive house in California, thanks to the sky-high price, which makes their new residence the most expensive home to be sold in California ever.

The Malibu property was designed by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando, who was also responsible for Kanye West’s $57.3 million mansion, which he acquired following his divorce from Kim Kardashian.  The house was originally listed for $295 million, but after Beyoncé and Jay-Z bought it, they reduced the price by $95 million, making it the second most expensive house in the entire country.
