Thor has always been one of Marvel’s god-like superheroes. His character was practically made for comedy. But there’s a fine line between humor and stupidity, and with previous installments and Thor: Ragnarok crossed that boundary by constantly undermining any drama present, leaving the overall film progressively less enjoyable with each consecutive viewing. But Thor: Love And Thunder could fix all of these mistakes made before it by balancing things out more carefully so that its drama is better incorporated into its comedy rather than being undermined by it. However, the first teaser of Thor: Love and Thunder depicts that Thor is at his weakest since Ragnarok. Why is it so?

Thor Looks Different In Thor: Love And Thunder

Love and Thunder’s first teaser has confirmed that the God of Thunder’s outlook on life has changed significantly since Thor: Ragnarok and Endgame. Now sporting a new look, Thor is clearly trying to appear more at peace with himself than ever before. From his slimmer figure, which shows he’s lost some weight following his time as Jane Foster’s love interest as she battled cancer and then later as an Avenger looking for redemption, to his attire. It appears Thor has taken a liking to fit into a new kind of armor altogether – one which favors style over substance. If there are any lingering doubts about how different Thor: Love and Thunder will look from the rest of the MCU films, those concerns should be quashed by his clothing alone. But what makes him appear weak?

Is Thor Still Suffering From PTSD?

Some audiences took Thor jokes as a slight against their favorite Avenger’s weight gain. Through his trauma, there has been punishment and weight gain; facing Thanos left him in shame and triggered his PTSD – both of which caused him self-punishment by keeping food down, leading to excessive weight gain. With the teaser coming out for Thor: Love and Thunder, it appears though that Thor not only appears back at peak physical condition but his new look is even more attractive than before. Yes, Thor could possibly be more attractive after his trauma this time, but it is still there. Moreover, his time with the Guardians certainly helped him come to terms with his trauma and find himself again. Soon, time will change and who knows what the ending of Love and Thunder and MCU’s phase 4 would bring to him.
