It was said that the couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are finding it difficult to come to terms with the recent physical altercation between actor Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock, which took place at the 2022 Academy Awards. While neither of them is bitter over what transpired, both parties agree that something regrettable did in fact happen.
Pinkett Smith believes that her husband instinctively swatted Chris Rock after he claimed to know how one feels when their spouse wins an Oscar. His behavior has understandably upset everyone, but ultimately all involved parties wish it hadn’t happened.

What Happened During The Broadcast Of Oscars 2022?
During the 2022 Oscars Awards, the world witnessed a mockery. Will Smith punched Chris Rock during the show’s opening monologue for making offensive jokes about his wife, Jada. After making a joke about Jada appearing like “GI Jane 2,” Smith stood up and cold-cocked Rock for being disrespectful to his wife.
Considering the event, last week, actor Will Smith was asked to step down from the membership of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts. Apparently, there is some ongoing allegation regarding his actions following the Academy Awards in 2022. Mr. Smith however released an official and personal apology to comedian Chris Rock earlier this week. He wrote that it was all a big mistake and that he truly regrets what had taken place leading up to the incident and afterward.

Jada Confess That Smith Overreacted By Slapping Chris Rock
Jada Pinkett Smith wishes that her husband, Will Smith, hadn’t reacted the way he did to Chris Rock’s joke about Jada’s hair at the Oscars last week. There are reports out there that they were on board with Will’s reaction, but quietly upset as well, and that in the aftermath of the event, things between them have been smoothed over. In this regard, an insider echoed how bizarre the ordeal was – saying that while they are both capable of defending themselves, Pinkett Smith wishes nobody had gotten hurt.

With all being said, on the other hand, Rock has confirmed that he will not press assault charges against Smith. He went on to add that he’s still trying to process the incident that happened during the 94th Academy Awards.
