“Yassss BRITNEY Can end Nate Jacobs”: Zendaya Led Euphoria Gets Britney Spears As Fan Cast After Singer Praises Series
It’s been more than a year since Euphoria’s Season 2 finale was released. Fans were glued to the screen, as a result of the season’s abundance of drama and heartbreak. Many people might be aware of Britney Spears’ interest in the program. Last year, the singer expressed her admiration for the show on social media and her positive feelings about it.
The Gimme More singer claimed that Euphoria’s “crazy plots” are actually a healing tool when she posted a small excerpt from one of the show’s scenes on her Instagram last year. Euphoria, which was adapted from an Israeli television miniseries of the same name, premiered on HBO in June 2019.
The HBO’s Zendaya-led drama was both critically and popularly acclaimed, largely because of its gripping storylines, striking visuals, and outstanding acting from its cast.
Britney Spears Said Watching Euphoria ‘Was Like Meditation’
The HBO drama has a fantastic lead performance by Zendaya as Rue Bennet, supported by an all-star supporting cast. Following the success of the first two seasons, HBO recently declared that a third season of Euphoria is in the works.
Britney Spears is familiar with many of the topics discussed in HBO’s Euphoria. The 41-year-old singer-songwriter has experienced periods of fame and notoriety throughout her life due to allegations of abuse, problematic relationships, and issues with her mental health. Furthermore, Spears’ mental health issues were probably made worse by the conservatorship saga, which finally ended in November 2021, when a court of law terminated it.
However, it appears that Spears was able to deal with her anxiety and stress, thanks to watching Euphoria. She stated on Instagram last year that the HBO drama, Euphoria had made her anxiety disappear. Look below for the complete post:
Spears published the article in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, revealing that the plots of the show helped her overcome anxiety. In addition, the pop star gave her fans some advice, suggesting that the program serves as a therapeutic tool that induces a Zen-like state of mind.
Moreover, fans suggested that the Oops!…I Did It Again singer should have been on the show, and, thus, she would have ended Nate Jacobs. “You should’ve been in Euphoria Queen,” one fan remarked.
“Yassss BRITNEY Can end Nate Jacobs,” said another fan. “Queen with taste,” another fan added.
Her Own Mental Health Issues
Britney Spears’ own mental health played a significant role in why she became involved with the show. Given her battles with mental illness, it makes total sense that she would find some comfort in the show’s context. This is because it serves as a reminder that such struggles are not as uncommon or isolated as one might believe.
Finding people you can relate to is often the first step in creating a community of health-conscious individuals and gaining some level of freedom. It’s likely that Spears felt less alone in her struggle when she saw other people dealing with such challenging and difficult life circumstances.
There is no doubt that Spears’ determination to fight her own mental health struggles has significantly improved her situation. The results of her ended conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement were two minor indicators of that effect.
HBO’s Euphoria tackles delicate and mature subjects, and despite receiving a lot of praise for how it handles such material, the program has its detractors. Considering that the show is primarily about teenagers, some have criticized the series for its depiction of self-harm, excessive drug use, and explicit material.
What about Euphoria’s third season? Well, no confirmed date has been made public as of yet.
Spears, along with other fans, will probably be watching when HBO releases more information about the status of Euphoria’s season 3.
