On her 41st Birthday, recently Britney Spears decided to show love for her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Their relationship has been a strained one for a long time. The memoir (by Jamie Lynn Spears) released back in January worsened the relationship even further. At the time, the Princess of Pop slammed her sister and her interview via social media. She questioned the integrity of the memoir as the interview discussed an incident involving the Popstar. And the Sometimes singer also asked her sister to stop with “crazy lies for the Hollywood books.”
Things seem to have taken a turn as the Baby One More Time singer recently decided to send peace to her sister. Instead of posting pictures about herself, the I Wanna Go singer decided to show her support for Jamie Lynn Spears.
Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears Strained Relationship
All throughout her 13-year-old conservatorship, Britney Spears’ relationship with her family was unhealthy. She called out her family without specifying anyone member numerous times via social media. Last December she shared via Instagram writing, “From every angle, I was being hurt for no reason and my family was hurting me.”
Next, the relationship between the pop star and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears seemed to have worsened after the release of the Memoir by the latter. It was titled Things I Should Have Said and it clearly contained some of her childhood memories involving her famous sister. In an interview with Good Morning America, Jamie Lynn Spears addressed the feud she was having with her older sister. According to her, she herself had no clear idea about what conservatorship even was. And that she was glad when it ended nevertheless.
However, a segment of the interview aired on Nightline got a strong reaction from Britney Spears. In the later segment, Jamie Lynn Spears discussed a traumatizing incident from childhood involving the Pop singer. Soon the Womanizer hitmaker slammed her sister online writing, “so why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense?”
Further, the singer also questioned the integrity of the memoir writing, “Please stop with these crazy lies for the Hollywood books.” The former Nickelodeon star claimed that her older sister’s private and public conversations were not in sync.
Britney Spears Shows Support to Jamie Lynn Spears
Recently, on her 41st birthday, instead of uploading celebration pictures, Britney Spears decided to show support to her younger sister. Although it is popular knowledge that their relationship has been strained, however, it seems that the pop star has decided to have peace now. She posted 2 pictures of Jamie Lynn Spears posing with a guitar. And captioned the post with, “It’s my [birthday] but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you,”
Further, the Toxic singer gave words of encouragement to her younger sister “so brave, inspiring, and showing guts and glory in [her] show.” For context, Jamie Lynn Spears is participating in a reality competition series. The I wanna Go singer ended the post with “My baby sister !!! I love you !!!”
Clearly following her new-found freedom, the princess of pop is also working on the strained relationship with her younger sister.
