Tom Hiddleston had executively produced Loki season one and with the second season, the British actor created a record of being the first actor to produce two Marvel-backed projects. A few A-listers from the entertainment industry like Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, and Oscar Issac have already been a part of the club. However, with the upcoming projects three Marvel actors can break the record of Tom Hiddleston.
With Upcoming Thor 5 Chris Hemsworth Might Break Tom Hiddleston’s Record
Chris Hemsworth was credited as the executive producer of the fourth installment of Thor. The Australian actor has been the face of the Thunder God franchise for over a decade. He went on to become the second actor to produce an MCU project while playing the titular character, after Scarlett Johansson.
However, it has been speculated that with the upcoming installment of Thor, there is a strong possibility Chris Hemsworth might beat his little brother Loki played by Tom Hiddleston’s record of producing two projects and as well as starring as a lead in it.
Oscar Issac Co-produced Moon Knight Along With Starring In The Miniseries
Oscar Issac holds a very different record with respect to his association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor played three separate characters in three different projects. Recently he was seen playing a spidey from 2099 in the 2023 released Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
He also portrayed the character of En Sabah Nur in the 2016 released X-Men: Apocalypse. He is the face of the miniseries Moon Knight. The actor is one of the co-producers of Moon Knight. It has been speculated that Oscar Issac would be entering Tom Hiddleston’s club of Marvel actors who have produced and as well as starred in their projects with the second season of Moon Knight.
Samuel L. Jackson Co-Produced MCU’s Secret Invasion
One of the most talented actors in Hollywood Samuel L. Jackson has not only portrayed the character of Nick Fury but also holds the position of co-producing the series. He has also been a part of the Marvel stars who have been in production as well as acting with respect to their projects.
He is one of the oldest faces of the billion-dollar franchise as he has been associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its first project 2008’s Iron Man.
Scarlett Johansson Sticks To The Marvel Family Beyond Black Widow
Scarlett Johansson was the first Marvel actor to executively produce her project. The actor co-produced the 2021 released Black Widow. During the American Cinematheque Award ceremony, MCU president Kevin Feige announced the actors’ association with a non-Black Widow project. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Kevin Feige said-
“Scarlett is one of the most talented, versatile, and beloved actors of our time. It has truly been a pleasure to work with someone of her caliber, from the epic training sessions preparing for the hallway fight in Iron Man 2 to the around-the-world press tour for Avengers: Endgame to partnering with you as a producer on Black Widow. Working with you, Scarlett has truly been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of my career.”
He further added-
“Working with Scarlett has truly been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of my career. We are already working with Scarlett on another non-Black Widow-related top-secret Marvel Studios project with her as a producer,”
As per Kevin Feige’s statement, it is clear that Scarlett Johansson will be producing an upcoming Marvel project, which makes her stand equally with Tom Hiddleston’s record.
