The audience’s response to the two-episode premiere was divided, but the show is poised to take the heroine on an epic trip as she travels the galaxy in quest of the evil Thrawn, played by Lars Mikkelsen. A spoiler for the next episode was accidentally revealed by the lead actress when she was being interviewed. Let’s learn more.
Rosario Dawson spills the beans about a major fight in Ahsoka
Actress Rosario Dawson plays the character of Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars series Ahsoka and in a recent interview with D23, the actress accidentally revealed a major spoiler from the upcoming episodes. She was asked about her favorite scene to film, and she said it’s the one with a crazy battle that fans are about to see in the coming episodes.
Dawson went on to explain,
“There’s this forest where we have this really crazy battle; Shin [Ivanna Sakhno] and Sabine [Natasha Liu Bordizzo] are fighting and I am also battling in it. It’s really quite beautiful. It’s kind of like a burnt-out forest with those red leaves.”
The actress goes on to explain the scenic view while the three of them are really having a crazy battle by adding that Ivanna’s wig started turning pink because the whole place started fermenting! She noted that they were filming inside, and it was getting earthy, creatures were moving in, and mushrooms were growing on the trees. It came to life. However, the spoiler is not as big of a spoiler as the trailer of the show showcased a scene from this ‘crazy battle’.
The actress continued,
“We really loved that one; I think that’s episode four. It’s just really striking and very beautiful. It had that beautiful background. What’s remarkable to me is how it could feel like you’re in a forest, but you’re on a stage.”
The actress had previously taken to her social media to welcome back Anakin Skywalker a.k.a. Hayden Christensen before she was asked to take it down.
Rosario Dawson on Star Wars universe appealing to the generations
During the conversation, Rosario Dawson was asked her opinion on why she thinks that the Star Wars universe has continued to impress the audience over the years and why she thinks that it is a great universe for storytelling. The actress said that she loves the generational family aspect between the characters, adding that there are certain callbacks.
“In Obi-Wan Kenobi, you get to see Obi-Wan take off part of Darth Vader’s helmet. You get to see Ahsoka do that in the animated series [Star Wars Rebels]. But the only one who was ever properly able to take it off completely and help him to be seen again in the light was Luke [in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi]… [There’s a recurring theme that] the hero can become the villain and the villain can become the hero. I just think there’s something quite beautiful about that, and there’s a tremendous lesson in that.”
Dawson revealed that she has always loved Princess Leia and how strong and capable she was, adding that she was such a force-sensitive character even if it was not spoken about in the same sort of way as Luke Skywalker.

Rosario Dawson on Ahsoka Tano being inspired by Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings
During an interview with EW, the actress was asked about their process of bringing Ahsoka live on-screen for the audience, to which she revealed that she and series creator Dave Filoni were very keen on setting up a basic story for Ahsoka and how she has grown from a young Padawan to now an accomplished leader. She said,
“In the animation, you saw her go to the white, but what I loved is the idea that there was even another level to her. Dave and I talked a lot about Gandalf the Gray and Gandalf the White — talking about that transition and how she’s someone very capable and excellent and looked up to as a leader, but she still has levels of development to go.”
The actress mentioned that the need to push a little more, the desire for more, and challenging oneself to do more are essential parts of the character and one of the reasons why she got drawn to Ahsoka Tano over the years and the fact that, even with her excellence, Dawson says that Tano continues to push further is something she admires a lot.
