Robert De Niro is one of the most charismatic and reputed star performers in the entertainment industry. De Niro found his cinematic soulmate when he met the most celebrated director Martin Scorsese in 1973 and worked on his passion project Mean Streets.
The actor has appeared in several independent and commercially successful films in his career. He rose to fame for his iconic role of Vito Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s directorial The Godfather Part II in 1974 and earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Rober De Niro recently joined the star-studded cast of his upcoming movie Killers of the Flower Moon, which premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2023, and received a euphoric nine-minute standing ovation.
During the press conference, the veteran star made a bombshell remark against former U.S president Donald Trump. The actor slammed him by calling him a “stupid man” and compared Trump “to the twisted power player” he portrays in Martin Scorsese’s directorial American Western crime drama.
De Niro is portraying the role of William Hale in the titular movie. During the conversation, he claimed he struggled to understand his character in the titular film. Robert De Niro said,
“I don’t understand a lot about my character. Part of him is sincere. In the other part, where he’s betraying [the Osage people], there’s a feeling of entitlement. We became a lot more aware [of that dichotomy] after George Floyd with systemic racism.”
He then seemingly took a jab at Donald Trump and added,
“It’s the banality of evil. It’s the thing we have to watch out for. We see it today, of course. We all know who I’m going to talk about. But I’m not going to say the name. That guy is stupid. Imagine if you’re smart. Even Hale was smart in many ways. There are people who still think he can do a good job. Imagine how insane that is.”

Martin Scorsese’s movie stars several A-list actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio, who also serves as an executive producer of the project, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, Robert De Niro, and John Lithgow. According to reports, the film marks the eleventh collaboration between the director and De Niro.
Robert De Niro Welcomed His Seventh Child
Robert De Niro is arguably the most talented actor in the entertainment industry. He has been ruling the silver screen with his acting genius. De Niro confirmed the birth of his seventh child in his latest interview with ET. The actor expressed his feelings after becoming a father for the seventh time at 79 with his rumored girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. De Niro said,
“I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice. And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you can’t.”
Robert De Niro shares two kids with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, daughter Drena and son Raphael. In 1995, he welcomed twins Julian and Aaron with his former wife Toukie Smith. He also shares son Elliot and daughter Helen Grace with his former wife, Grace Hightower.
