The Paris Saint-Germain player was left in shock, after his wife, Hiba Abouk, filed for divorce and demanded half of his assets. The footballer has dribbled her out of his fortune as Hakimi’s mother turns out to be the true owner of his property.

Fans are now hailing Achraf Hakimi as the second man in history to win an argument against a woman after Johnny Depp. Interestingly, the footballer, whose 80% salary goes to his mother’s account, also garnered praise from controversial YouTuber, Andrew Tate, who is himself facing rape allegations. Being associated with Tate is the last thing Hakimi needs as he is undergoing a preliminary investigation for rape.

Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi is Africa’s sixth highest-paid footballer. The Paris Saint-Germain player, who earns about $1 million per month, left his wife, actress Hiba Abouk disappointed after she found out that she won’t be getting anything from the divorce settlement. It turns out that the reigns lie in his mother’s hands, who receives 80% of Hakimi’s income.

Even though he sought tremendous support from his fans amid both, rape allegations and divorce filing, many are questioning the motivation behind the footballer’s decision to keep his fortune under his mother’s name. Since his mother has remained the beneficiary of Hakimi’s salary for years, foul play can surely be ruled out.

But again, the lady anticipated receiving an equal share of the footballer’s €70 million fortune but fell on her face after she learned about the recent developments. Since Hakimi’s mother remains the beneficiary, Abouk has no legal claim to his fortune. Abouk broke her silence on rape allegations by Tatiana Kisiel against her husband in a past interview:

“After having taken the decision to legally separate and to stop living together whilst awaiting the divorce procedure, which you can imagine, on top of the pain brought about by the separation, as well as having to accept the sadness that a failed project, which I gave my body and soul, brings, I was supposed to face up to this disgraceful act? I needed time to come to terms with this shock.”

It came out that there is an unusual arrangement where his mother purchases everything from him. As weird as it may sound, this dynamic allowed him to avoid registering any assets in his name. Hakimi’s wife, on the other hand, doesn’t need Hakimi’s fortune as she’s got one of her own.

After court documents revealed that all of Hakimi’s assets are registered under his mother’s name, fans took to social media and hailed him as “the second man to successfully win an argument against a woman after Johnny Depp.”  The Pirates of The Caribbean star defeated his ex-wife Amber Heard in an explosive defamation battle, where she labeled him as a “wife beater”. The Virginia jury’s judgment, however, gave Depp his life and honor back.

Coming back to Achraf Hakimi, Twitter is over-flooded with Hakimi’s sweet victory against a woman’s argument. One fan tweeted, “Salute, Men are winning again.” Another tweeted, “Jonny took too long … 7 YEARS. Hakimi did it instantly!”. Achraf Hakimi and Abouk began dating in 2018. Back then, the actress was 31-year-old and the footballer was just 19. As the couple heads toward separation, his wife may have faced a roadblock, but again, Hakimi is still under investigation after a woman filed a complaint, alleging that the star defender sexually molested her at his matrimonial home while his wife and family were away.
