Actor Ben Affleck recently expressed his love for his wife, Jennifer Lopez’s music. In his recent appearance on the SmartLess podcast, the actor talked about the songs his wife has written for him and even revealed that he has listened to all her songs but is he jealous of her? Absolutely not.
Their relationship is no less than a fairytale, the two fell for each other in the early 2000s but due to some complications in their relationship, they had to call off their engagement. However, fate brought them back together once again after 17 years as they rekindled their romance and finally got married in July 2022.
Ben Affleck called Jennifer Lopez “the greatest performer in the history of the world“
Actor Ben Affleck recently appeared on the SmartLess podcast and talked to hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett about his wife, Jennifer Lopez‘s remarkable career. Bateman started off by asking which songs are about him. The actor replied,
“The songs that have been written about me have been written by the greatest performer in the history of the world, Jennifer Lopez. I don’t know if they are exactly about me, as maybe inspired by me because there are some negative things in there. She’s amazing.”
The songs that Affleck believes to be about him are, Dear Ben and Dear Ben Part 2.
Is the actor jealous of Jennifer Lopez’s successful career?
Later in the interview, the actor talked about how it feels to be married to a professional singer like Jennifer Lopez. He then clarified if he feels jealous of her,
“It takes a big man not to feel inadequate in the face of my wife’s many, many accomplishments. I don’t feel bad about myself. I’m not low self-esteem, well I am, I’m fishing a little bit. No, the truth is it’s amazing, sometimes I completely forget, here’s this incredible actress and this incredible performer, and then we’re sitting in the car and I’m humming along, as I will with the radio, and then a professional singer goes ahead and sings along and you kinda feel like ‘Well that’s embarrassing, maybe I should just zip it.'”
The actor obviously doesn’t feel inadequate because he himself has proved to be one of the best actors of all time. He has won several awards throughout his career for his work as an actor, writer, and director.
Ben Affleck has heard Jennifer Lopez’s entire discography
Host Jason Bateman then asked the actor if he has listened to Jennifer Lopez’s discography, and he replied, “I do know all her music.” He also highlighted in the interview that he really liked Lopez’s recent Netflix documentary, Halftime.
The two first got engaged back in November 2002 but their relationship came to an end in 2004 and they had to call off their engagement. The two went separate ways but after roughly 17 years, they rekindled their romance and got married in July 2022 in Las Vegas.
