“I was crying too”: Aubrey Plaza Couldn’t Hold Back Tears After Watching White Lotus Co-Star’s Cult-Classic TV Drama ‘The Sopranos’

The actress in an interview, shared her thoughts regarding the iconic series and how she felt after watching the series’ final.
Aubrey Plaza broke down after watching The Sopranos
It took Aubrey Plaza closely two decades to finally watch the iconic show The Sopranos. Even though she stars opposite the show’s alum, Michael Imperioli, in her series The White Lotus. The actress binged watched the HBO mafia series, which consists of six seasons and 86 episodes with New Girl star Jake Johnson.
The Parks and Recreation star revealed to Variety her feeling after watching the iconic show. She even managed to avoid the spoilers of the series and was shocked by the end.
She said,
“Yesterday I was like, ’Oh my God, what do you think happened?’ And [Jake] was like, ‘I don’t know but I was crying,’ and I was like, ‘I was crying too.’ I was like, ‘This is ridiculous, that we’re going through “Sopranos” finale stuff.”
The White Lotus actress went on to purchase the entire show on iTunes even though it was available on the HBO platform Max. Plaza revealed she refuses to use streamers because she often gets enraged while using them.
The Emily the Criminal star is currently in the Emmy race for her performance on The White Lotus.

The Sopranos is an American crime drama television series created by David Chase. It came out in 1999 and ran till 2007. The series had six seasons and combined its gangster stereotypes, dark humor, and family drama into 86 episodes. The show falls under the category of one of the most iconic shows in the history of entertainment.
The show revolves around New Jersey-based, Italian American mobster Tony Soprano played by James Gandolfini. It shows the challenges he encounters in juggling his personal life with his involvement in a criminal enterprise, as well as his failure to develop the necessary skills to be a varsity athlete.
Some important characters on the show include Soprano’s wife, Carmela played by Edie Falco, and protégé Christopher Moltisanti played by Michael Imperioli.
