American actress and producer Emma Stone is one of the most acclaimed actresses in Hollywood. Having started as a child actress in theater productions, she started gaining prominence in the industry for her performance in teen movies like Easy A, Zombieland, and Superbad. Her first leading role did not come until Easy A, which was released in 2010.

Emma Stone gained worldwide recognition for her performance as Gwen Stacy in the 2012 superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel. Her performance in the 2016 romantic musical La La Land earned her a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Actress. Despite all that she has achieved, Stone has a very ordinary dream, one that people wouldn’t expect of her, and it is being a contestant on the classic game show Jeopardy!

Emma Stone Wants to Be a Contestant on Jeopardy!

Emma Stone’s goal was clear since she was just four years old; she wanted to act, and that’s exactly what she has done for most of her life. She secured her first role in a theater play at the age of eleven and made her television debut as a teenager, and by 2007, she had appeared in her first feature film.

Besides an Academy Award for Best Actress, Stone has also received two nominations for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of an addict in Birdman (2014) and again for Abigail Masham in Yorgos Lanthimos’s The Favourite (2018). But when we keep all these achievements aside, the Crazy, Stupid Love actress is just a person with ordinary dreams like appearing as a contestant on the game show Jeopardy! (not the Celebrity audition).

Speaking about this on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, Emma Stone said:

“I apply every June. I don’t want to go on ‘Celebrity Jeopardy.’ I want to earn my stripes. You can only take the test once a year with your email address, and I’ve never gotten on the show. I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right. I swear, I could go on ‘Jeopardy!’”

Stone obviously wants to compete on the game show like a normal person and now that she has openly spoken about it, hopefully, the showrunners will find a way to get the actress on the show.

Emma Stone came back stronger than a ’90s trend last year with the portrayal of Bella Baxter in the sci-fi dark comedy film Poor Things, which also stars Oscar-nominated actors Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo. The movie has a satisfying finale, but as all good things have a unique story behind it, so did this scene.

While talking to Variety on the podcast, Stone revealed how difficult it was for her to shoot the final scene of the film, saying:

“I took out my contacts to try that scene with Chris who is at the end of an extremely long table. So during that scene, I actually couldn’t see him a lot of the time, which is kind of amazing. I felt like I was in a sort of hallucination fever dream where there was a blob speaking to me at the end of the table. It was pretty effective.”

According to the Cruella actress, this inability to see the person on the other side of the table was because of having a “negative 1,000″ prescription”. She said that this prescription was equivalent to four times the legal inability to see.
