Judge Denies Gwyneth Paltrow’s Request to Give “Treats” to Bailiffs Amidst $300K Ski Crash Lawsuit
Gwyneth Paltrow is a world-renowned actress and the CEO of the company Goop. It deals with products based on wellness and lifestyle. Recently The Talented Mr. Ripley actor was under the scanner due to her inconsiderate behavior towards an optometrist while skiing at the Deer Valley Resort in 2016. She is supposed to appear for the trial of the seven-year-old lawsuit.
Terry Sanderson sued Gwyneth Paltrow for $300,000. The retired optometrist claimed that the accident at the Park City skiing resort was due to the actor’s negligence which led to severe physical injuries and emotional distress for him.

During day three of the ongoing civil case in Park City, Utah, the judge denied Paltrow’s request to give “treats” to bailiffs amidst her $300,000 ski crash lawsuit. The star had asked if she could provide the bailiffs with the treats as a gesture of gratitude for their service during the high-profile case. Paltrow’s private security team requested to bring treats for the bailiffs, who had been helpful.
However, the judge turned down the request after the plaintiff’s attorneys objected, stating that it could be seen as trying to influence the jury or the court. Stephen Owens transparently made the request to the judge, who instructed Owens to decline the treats.
Gwyneth Paltrow denies the allegations
Paltrow, 50, is being sued by a Utah retired optometrist Sanderson, 76, who first filed a lawsuit against her back in January 2019, following a February 26, 2016, incident in which he claims that the actress crashed into him while skiing at the Deer Valley Resort in 2016. Both parties agree the collision happened but they have conflicting points of view on who crashed into whom.

Sanderson alleges that Paltrow caused him personal injury and property damage and is seeking $3.1 million in damages. Paltrow has denied the allegations and her legal team maintains that Sanderson was at fault for the collision.

Terry Sanderson’s attorneys claimed Gwyneth Paltrow skied out of control. knocking him down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain injury, four broken ribs, and other serious injuries. Paltrow got up, turned, and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured.
However, Paltrow has countersued for just $1, claiming that Sanderson is exaggerating his injuries and trying to exploit her fame and wealth. She also claims to have checked on Sanderson and sent help after the collision, and has pointed out that he had a long list of medical conditions before the incident.
