Living in Denial? Kim Kardashian Reportedly Working on Her Met Gala Outfit Despite Being Not Part of the Guest List
The fashion’s biggest night out, the Met Gala is all set to take place on May 1, 2023. The Kardashians have never failed to mesmerize fans with their appearance at the Met Gala. But reportedly, this year’s Met Gala won’t witness the glamorous looks of the Kardashians. Unlike last year, when the whole Kadarshain family was spotted at the event, this year won’t be the same.
Vogue star Anna Wintour has wiped some names from the guest list for the event. But it seems like Kim Kardashian is unable to digest the news as she is working with a top fashion house to design her outfit for the event.
Why is Kim Kadarshian not invited to the Met Gala event?
Kim Kadarshian has been attending the Met Gala for a decade. She made her debut at the event in 2013 along with her then-husband, Kanye West. Ever since then, the Kadarshian star has been known for her glamorous looks and rocking outfits every year. Kadarshian has opted to wear outfits from famous brands that include Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Givenchy, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Balenciaga, and Versace.
Reportedly, Kim Kardashian won’t make an appearance at the Met Gala this year. As per sources, the CEO of Vogue, Anna Wintour, has eradicated a few names from the guest list, which includes the Kardashians as well. An insider stated,
“Anna had wanted to do a cull of the guest list this year and make it more of an exclusive event.”
According to the sources, the socialite is not so happy with the news. The source said,
“Kim was very unhappy about the situation.”
Despite everything, the 42-year-old star is excited about the event, and as per the sources, she is engaged in working on her event outfit. The source claimed,
“It’s been embarrassing for everyone involved, but Kim is still excited and has already been working with a top fashion house to design a custom look for the night.”
The news about the Kardashians not being invited to the Met Gala is more or less vague as of now.
The Met Gala’s anticipated guest list
Like every year, this year’s Met Gala also has a theme. The Met Gala 2023 theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. The theme is set to pay tribute to the late fashion mogul, Karl Lagerfeld.
It is speculated that pop star Taylor Swift will be attending the event. Supermodels Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid, Liu Wen, Adut Akech, and Shalom Harlow are expected to grace the event with their presence as well. According to the sources, Jonathan Majors was also expected to attend the event with Valentino, but following his charges of domestic violence, he won’t be seen at the event this year.
