Prince Harry Wanted To Interview World’s Leading Politicians On Mental Health
The Duke of Sussex had proposed the idea of interviewing reputed politicians like the Russian President Vladimir Putin and ex-president of the USA Donald Trump. According to Prince Harry, he would have invited the leaders on his Spotify-backed podcast Archetype to talk about their childhood trauma.
He had reportedly proposed the idea of interviewing Pope Francis about religion, A few people at Spotify, even found the proposition a bit out-of-the-box and impractical as leading politicians like Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump hardly give interviews about their personal lives.
None of the ideas could come to fruition as the podcast for Prince Harry was never even materialized — despite his and Meghan Markle’s $20 million-plus deal with Spotify. Last week, The Post went on to report that Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex called off the million-dollar deal with the streaming giant because they were unable to deliver on expected numbers.
An insider even confirmed that Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes, would not see the face of the second season despite topping the charts last year. According to the rumors in the entertainment world, the couple did not even produce enough content to receive their full multi-million dollar pay.
According to a source close to the Duchess of Sussex- “Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform,” As the couple is looking forward to signing a deal with some good and reputed production house.
Why Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Shown The Exit Door By The Spotify?
The news of Spotify showing exit to both Prince Harry and Prince Harry is spreading like wildfire in the world of entertainment. Recently it was announced that despite getting great response and appreciation from the audience, the Meghan Markle-hosted podcast Archetypes will be discontinued without going further for the second season. The deal was made back in 2020 between the billion-dollar music platform and the royal couple’s Archewell foundation, which came across around 20 million dollars. It was ended prematurely and even shared through a joint statement that the two parties had,- “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series, we made together.”
The news was confirmed by The New York Post by a source close to the couple. However, reportedly Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would continue making the content for the podcast if they get a better deal with another company.
The Archetypes podcast was hosted by Meghan Markle. It was created to discuss the labels that are given to women in our society. In every episode, a guest used to make an appearance to discuss these issues for an hour-long episode. Some of the guests include celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Mindy Kaling, Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, etc. The last episode was rolled out in November last year.
