Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie Will Join Force Again But Not For Barbie 2

Fans have cherished the irresistible comic dynamic between the sensational star Margot Robbie and stunning Ryan Gosling who have slayed the role of Barbie and Ken and are now said to join forces again in a new project.

Well, if Barbie enthusiasts are anticipating Barbie 2, they shouldn’t be so fast-paced at this. The magnificent duo from Greta Gerwig’s summer blockbuster, Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie might star together in a new and exquisite project titled Ocean’s 11 Prequel.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling‘s signature comedic style in Barbie is highly recognized and the actors have been receiving immense love from the viewers for slaying the roles of Barbie and Ken. Although the movie had numerous Kens and Barbie, the portrayal of the characters by Robbie and Gosling came out to be the finest. The exceptional duo is now said to join forces in a new thrilling movie.

In 2022, it was announced that the Suicide Squad actress is set to star in Ocean’s 11 Prequel. The original Oceans trilogy came between  2001 and 2007, with a spin-off called Ocean’s Eight that was released in 2018. Then came the announcement of the Ocean’s 11 Prequel about Robbie’s involvement in the project that is to be made by the Focus star’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.

And now, Warner Bros is looking to capitalize on Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie’s appeal on recreating the crime caper story with a strong emphasis on humorous characters and a thrilling storyline in Ocean’s 11 Prequel.

The Producer Believes Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling Would be Great Together

To make fans anticipate with full excitement, the makers haven’t revealed the entire plot of Ocean’s 11 Prequel which is said to feature the enchanting and comedic duo between Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. But what we do know is that the upcoming movie will be set in 1960s Europe.

Post the jaw-dropping success of Barbie which broke numerous notable records, it can be assumed that the duo might receive more consideration from fans after they bring their captivating bilateral collaboration on-screen in a new quirky and thrilling storyline. When GamesRadar+ asked producer Josey McNamara about reuniting Gosling and Robbie, he said:

“I can’t really say much, but I think we’re just trying to do right by the [Oceans] franchise. I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready. They’re [Robbie and Gosling] wonderful together. The more projects even outside of that we can have them do would be amazing.”

It is also reported that Jay Roach who is primarily recognized for his creative work in comedy and political films will direct Ocean’s 11 Prequel. Notably, when the producer replied to the question regarding reassembling The Nice Guys star and the Babylon actress, he reflected on his hope that Ocean’s 11 Prequel is the beginning of many more collaborations between Robbie and Gosling.
