Sandra Bullock and Tom Cruise Lost Millions After Paramount Shamelessly Stole Their Profits for Own Gain
The film production company Paramount Pictures was suffering loss for a very long time until the last 5 movies from their production company was a hit at the box office. One of the biggest earning films was Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick.
The actor’s performance and the story of the movie made the audiences applaud the movie and which made the movie a big hit at the box office. Although Cruise’s film did well at the box office,t the actor claims that he is still at a loss.
Sandra Bullock and Tom Cruise face heavy loss due to Paramount Pictures and Epix’s deal
The Paramount Pictures and Epix cable network’s deal is coming in the way of the distribution of money to the cast and crew of the movies. Sandra Bullock’s The Lost City which was also under Paramount Pictures did great business but the actress is unhappy with the amount she is losing even after the success of the film.
Tom Cruise’s movie Top Gun: Maverick did great at the box office and Bullock’s The Lost City earned millions around the world. But reports suggest that the deal leads to these two stars losing a lot of money. Both the mega-stars representatives reached out to the company asking for the money that they deserved and clarification of this loss. The representatives are asking for extra for their contribution to the films.
Paramount has said that although the movies are doing great business at the box office, the deal which is signed with Epix is providing them with less money. Therefore they are unable to pay the movie cast and crew sufficiently.
No Lawsuit has been filed yet by Tom Cruise and Sandra Bullock
As per reports, representatives of Bullock and Cruise are trying to sort out this matter without knocking on the doors of the court. No lawsuit has been filed against Paramount Pictures or Epic Cable Network. Reportedly the lawyers and representatives are trying to fix this matter internally as both actors have had a good relationship with the production company for a long time. There is no news of Bullock or Cruise going against any firm at the court. But as per reports, both superstars are unhappy with the losses they have suffered. This deal has led Bullock and the Mission Impossible actor to lose millions.
The most profitable domestic release of 2022 was Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount and Skydance, which brought in $719 million from ticket sales. The Lost City had its world debut in March of last year, and it managed to surpass $100 million domestically for a global total of $187 million on a $68 million budget. As per reports, Bullock and Cruise both were expecting a good amount of money after their respective movies did well at the box office.
