TV star Whoopi Goldberg’s health has raised concerns as the TV star has not appeared on her talk show, The View. Her co-hosts have claimed that she is down with a “bad virus” and will be back soon. The star has been a part of ABC’s talk show, The View, since 2007. Her absence has also spread rumors about her exit from the show as several outlets believe that she is taking a break after her legendary run. She has earned EGOT status, meaning she has earned an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award.
The TV star has made several controversial statements on the show that almost got her “canceled.” She also has a history of having feuds with several well-known celebrities. She previously attacked Nicki Haley for being too old.
Whoopi Goldberg missed three days of work
TV star Whoopi Goldberg has missed three days of work as her show, The View goes continues in her absence with other co-hosts. This is not the first time she had a long break from the show, in November 2022, it was revealed that she contracted COVID-19 for the second time, which led to a long break from the show.
She first got the virus back in January 2022 and missed a few episodes, however, the second time was shocking to her as she claimed that she was “triple vaxxed” and “didn’t do anything.”
Her co-stars explained that she got “some sort of virus“
On Tuesday, her first day away from the show, actor Michael B. Jordan started off his segment with well-wishes, saying, “Shout out to Whoopi. Mwah! Get better.” On the second day, Joy Behar said, “Whoopi is still out, coughing up. I’m sorry, you’re stuck with us. She’s fighting a bad cold.” Sunny Hostin added, “Those colds are going around.”
On the third day, Joy Behar once again explained that she is down with a virus and she will be back next week, “Whoopi’s still out sick today. She’s got a bad virus of some sort. She’ll be back next week. She’ll be back.” Let’s hope that the TV star gets better soon and returns to the show. Several outlets believe that she might be done with the show and this is an attempt to quit the show completely.
Whoopi Goldberg previously criticized Nikki Haley
The View has always been in the headlines due to Whoopi Goldberg’s bold personality. In February 2022, she was suspended by ABC for two weeks after she claimed that the Holocaust involved “two groups of white people” and that the Nazi genocide of the Jews was “not about race.” She does not hesitate to present her views on the show.
She previously came after Nikki Haley after she said she is “the new generation of leadership.” The TV star pointed out that she is 51 implying that she is too old to be saying that she is the “new generation.”
