It feels like the year 2023 belongs to none other than Narcos actor Pedro Pascal. The actor bagged three nominations for three different performances under the category of drama, narration, and comedy in the 2023 Emmys. According to the statistics, The Last Of Us actor was nominated for three performances after never being nominated before.
Pedro Pascal secured a nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actor under the Drama Series category for his role in the post-apocalyptic drama series The Last of Us, alongside actor Bella Ramsey. He is competing against three different actors from HBO’s much-hyped comedy-drama series Succession
The Game Of Thrones actor even managed to get a nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Saturday Night Live. Pedro Pascal is the only Saturday Night Live host nominated in that particular category this year.
The third nomination of Pedro Pascal is for his narration on CNN’s Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World. It is a documentary series based on the different forms of life and landscapes in the South American location. He really has some brilliant names in the competition against him like actor Mahershala Ali for Chimp Empire, Ex-President Barack Obama For Working: What We Do All Day, and the Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman for Our Universe
Oscar Issac Wants Pedro Pascal To Join The Spider-Verse
Oscar Issac played one of the spider people in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as Miguel O’Hara. The Star Wars actor now really wants his great friend, Pedro Pascal to play a web crawler by becoming a part of the Spider-Verse. Recently, during an interview with the British GQ, Oscar Issac spoke about roping in the Wonder Woman star for the animated version of the Spideys from multiverses. He mentioned-
“Let’s find something for him. He should be a Spider-Person — like a cranky, old Spider-Person.”
Both the actors have been friends even before getting famous in the entertainment world. They have also worked together in a 2019 released movie Triple Frontier. During an interview with Wired, the Strange Way Of Life actor went on to reveal that the duo has been great friends for over two decades. He confessed-
“I met him through a play we did together in 2005. An Off-Broadway show where we were getting $500 a week, before taxes.”
While recalling a scene from the Star Wars movie, Pedro Pascal recounted that Oscar Issac loved playing pranks on him and said-
“I had to do my scenes, and he would physically be there, but because my character couldn’t see him, he could f— with me, all in front of live audiences, as much as he wanted, trying to get me to crack up or forget my lines. The memory is simultaneously dark and wonderful.”
Both the actors have aged like fine wine and so has their friendship over the years. The Triple Frontier actor duo never shies away from talking about each other and the genuine bond they share.
