Who would have thought that Kim Kardashian would overthrow the old fishes on the streaming platform, Spotify? To everyone’s surprise, she topped the charts on the streaming platform within a week with her new true crime podcast series, The System. The American socialite has a massive fan following on her social media platforms who rose to prominence with her NSFW tape she filmed with her former boyfriend Ray J. After establishing herself as an influential celebrity, she is now exploring a new arena in her life.
The 41-year-old socialite had been quite vocal about pursuing law. She once revealed that raising mixed-race children encouraged her to pursue a law career. What you might not know is that her late father was also an attorney and a businessman. It won’t be wrong to say that the makeup mogul wants to pursue what her dad did.
Kim Kardashian’s New Podcast, The System Released on Spotify
The 41-year-old socialite, Kim Kardashian, on Monday released an exclusive true crime series on Spotify named, The System, a crime podcast representing advocacy in criminal justice reform. The exclusive show came into existence when the SKIMS founder signed a deal with Spotify in 202o.
The host, Kim K in a conversation with Interview stated, “The first season is about a really crazy case where a guy got the death sentence for a triple homicide that happened in Ohio.”
The podcast series follows the story of Kevin Keith, a convicted murderer (whom she thinks innocent) who was sentenced to death. However, former governor Ted Strickland commuted his sentence to life without parole in 2010.
Kim Kardashian Tops The Charts!
The makeup mogul has reached the top of Spotify’s Top Podcasts list with her new crime series by taking over the old shark of the streaming platform, The Joe Rogan Experience. With the latter series in the second position, the popular podcast series, Call Me Daddy dropped to third.
The 4th position on the Spotify list was acquired by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes, along with Huberman Lab, Crime Junkie, The Try Pod, and On Purpose with Jay Shetty taking the rest of the position.
The makeup mogul has definitely got a great start with The System and even managed to corner Joe Rogan’s show. In 2019, she announced her decision to pursue law in improving the U.S. criminal justice system and cleared the baby bar exam. Apart from that, she is also managing her business ventures and her ongoing divorce from her ex-husband Kanye West.
Kim Kardashian’s The System is now streaming on Spotify.
