Tom Selleck Revealed FRIENDS Was a Wonderful Place to Work Because of Courteney Cox: “Courteney helped a lot”
The American Actor, Tom Selleck played the role of Richard Burke in the famous TV SitCom Friends. His character was basically an eye doctor who was friends with the parents of the Geller siblings played by Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer. However, Richard had a romantic plot with Cox’s character Monica Geller. Selleck is famous for his work in the 1980s Tv series Magnum P.I. The Magnum actor shares his experience on the sets of the SitCom show. The actor revealed that joining a new show where everyone else is at speed is not easy.
He also said that he had worked in a show called Taxi but had never worked in a SitCom. The Blue Bloods star was “scared to death” for his work in the show.
Tom Selleck’s Chemistry With Courteney Cox
Selleck shared that Cox was a “big help” to him. He also mentioned that the show’s ensemble cast was an “amazing group of friends”. Although Selleck seemed smooth in his scenes, he was actually very nervous behind the cameras. The veteran revealed how the whole cast helped him a lot and made a wonderful environment for him to work in. He played the character of a short-term boyfriend of Monica in the show. Even Jennifer Aniston respected and helped Selleck out. Although Aniston wasn’t always very complimentary towards guest stars, but she had huge praise for Selleck.
Selleck concluded by saying, “They obviously became friends in life as well as on the show. And it shows. It was a wonderful place to work.”
Selleck had a great time in his scenes with Courteney Cox. It clearly was a positive atmosphere on the set of Friends.

Jennifer Aniston about Guest appearances on Friends
Aniston wasn’t the most complimenting toward co-stars when it came to guest appearances. However, this was not the case with her and Selleck. She even pinpoints a certain guest star for thinking that they were above everyone else on the set. Aniston mentioned, “It was just like, ‘What are you doing here? Your attitude! This is not what we’re all about. This is a wonderful, warm place to be, and you’re coming into our home and just s*** on it.'”.
The certain someone Aniston referred to was Fisher Stevens. Stevens, later on, apologized for his conduct by saying, “I’ve rarely seen any of those people on Friends again, but I’m sure if you asked them about me, they would go, ‘What a New York snob.’ I’m sorry, guys. I’m sorry. I apologize. I was bad, I was wrong.”
As for Selleck, the actor even made a short appearance at the Friends Reunion.
