Looking at her photographs, fans said that the Thank U, Next singer appeared thin. Fans also compared her previous body with her current one and claimed that she has lost weight. They also said that she looked better before with her previous physique. Surprisingly, Ariana Grande busted everyone’s misconception as she revealed that her previous body wasn’t healthy at all, but that she has improved a lot over time. Grande explained,

“I know personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider me ‘healthy.’ But that, in fact, wasn’t my ‘healthy.’ Healthy can look different.”

The Side to Side singer concluded her video by saying,

“The second thing is you never know what someone’s going through,” she continued. “So even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with, and you never know, so be gentle with each other and with yourselves.”

The perception of beauty can be subjective, but being opinionated about someone’s body can take a toll on their mental health. Grande stood up for this and showed her vulnerable side to her fans, which indeed takes a lot but becomes necessary at times.
