With a staggering budget of $340 million, Fast X ranks as the fifth-most expensive film ever made, promising electrifying excitement for fans worldwide.

In this latest installment of the franchise, the 33-year-old takes on the role of Tess, a captivating addition to the star-studded cast. However, amidst the shared success and widespread recognition, a notable pay disparity emerges between Brie Larson and her co-star, Jason Momoa.

Reports indicate that the actress’s earnings fall significantly short, reportedly being five times less than the 43-year-old impressive payout.

For her portrayal in Fast X, Larson is said to receive a paycheck of $1 million, in contrast to the $5 million allocated for the Aquaman actor. Additionally, other cast members also face differences in their earnings. Vin Diesel, the franchise’s stalwart, is rumored to make $20 million, while Jason Statham will receive $15 million for reprising his role.

John Cena, playing Dom Toretto’s brother, is set to earn $2 million, while Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris will receive $1 million and $600,000, respectively. Meanwhile, the expected earnings for female actor Michelle Rodriguez are $2.5 million and $800,000, respectively.

Despite these disparities, Larson previously had expressed her enthusiasm and the reason for being a part of the prominent Fast X franchise.

Marvel star widely recognized for her role as Captain Marvel, has publicly declared her affection for another powerhouse franchise, expressing her adoration for the Fast & Furious series. 

The Fast & Furious franchise has enjoyed an impressive two-decade run in Hollywood. Beginning with the release of the first film, The Fast and the Furious, in 2001, it has captivated audiences with its thrilling car chases and ensemble casts. 

The artist rose to stardom and was famed when she portrayed the titular character in Marvel’s Captain Marvel, which hit theaters in 2019. Through her involvement with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she has developed a newfound appreciation for car culture.

During an interview with Uproxx, she expressed her love for the Fast & Furious films. And after being asked by an interviewer about entertaining the idea of a crossover between the franchise and Marvel. Larson responded saying, “Gazillion-dollar idea.”

“Please, please tell everybody I would of course want to be in a Fast & Furious movie. I’m obsessed. I love them. I think they’re so good. They’re so fun. I think you’ve tapped into something that is a true love of mine, so I would be so down.”
