Britney Spears has been in the spotlight for a while due to her freedom from her father’s conservatorship. The pop singer has been living her life freely ever since and recently got married to Sam Asghari. The two have been together for five years and tied the knot on 5th June 2022. The wedding ceremony included several famous guests, including Ansel Elgort.
Britney Spears’ wedding was full of Hollywood stars
The wedding took place at Spears’ Thousand Oaks home, and several popular celebrities such as Madonna, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, Madonna, and Drew Barrymore were a part of it. Britney’s first husband, Jason Alexander, crashed the wedding and was arrested, but this did not stop the celebrations. Britney and Sam enjoyed their day and partied until late at night.
Even though Britney’s family was nowhere to be seen, Donatella Versace and Kathy Hilton did attend the auspicious occasion. However, there was one star whose presence at the occasion was not appreciated by the fans.
The presence of Ansel Elgort at Britney Spears’ wedding questioned by fans
Ansel Elgort is known for his roles in films such as The Fault in Our Stars, Baby Driver and the Divergent trilogy. In 2020, the actor was accused of sexual assault by a Twitter user. According to Vulture, in the tweets, the girl stated that she was “sobbing in pain” and did not consent to have sex with the actor. The girl, who was 17 at the time, also said that Ansel had asked her to send nude pictures of her. Ansel was 20 at the time of the alleged assault.
The exposure of Ansel’s predatory behaviour by the girl led to the downfall of the actor’s reputation. Moreover, several other girls came forward and shared their experiences with Ansel when they were teenagers. Such claims of assault and harassment by multiple women were not met well by the fans, and his attendance at Britney’s wedding was questioned for a good reason.
