Howard Stern the very outspoken host of the show The Howard Stern Radio Show has revealed that he is a Selenator now after Selena Gomez was announced as the most followed celebrity on Instagram. Stern who doesn’t hold back his thoughts regardless of the feud that his words may invite has revealed that he is intimidated by Gomez.

Gomez’s social media followers have made Stern decide not to make any comments on the Come and get it, singer. Stern recently discovered the news that Gomez is the most followed celebrity on Instagram and her fans do get offended if anyone tries to put her down.

On 27th February 2023, Howard Stern and his co-host Robin Quivers were having a conversation on social media. That’s when the topic of Selena Gomez being the most followed celebrity ignited. Stern and his co-host talked about the massive impact Gomez has on Instagram and her followers as well. The host of the show couldn’t get the numbers correct of Gomez’s followers on Instagram but was amazed to know the influence she has online.

Although they didn’t know much about what Gomez did on Instagram, Stern and Quivers appreciated the Ghost of you singer. Quivers said,

Selena Gomez ,she has the most followers on Instagram than anybody. “It’s like 350 million — the entire population of this country. She has that as followers, eclipsing the Kardashians and Jenners.”

Quivers talked about how Gomez is much more influential online compared to the Kardashians and Jenner

Following that, Stern discussed how Gomez already held the title of most followed celebrity on Instagram, but she decided to take a break. He said,

“Selena took her to break from social media. Other people got to become number one. Then she came back to social media a couple of years ago and she became number one again.”

Stern expressed his desire to follow Gomez on Instagram as he claimed he didn’t know what she did. Stern claimed that it would be mindblowing. His co-host Quivers explained to Stern what Gomez did on Instagram. She said,

“She shares her life. But 350 million followers. It’s pretty wild. She could put together an army and go attack people. With that kind of following, who knows what she can do.”

Howard went on to say that Gomez can take all her fans to Canada and rename it “Gomez Land.”

Stern appreciated Gomez’s influence online and said, “I mean, she’s an important person. It’s amazing.” Further Stern expressed that he intends to stay on Gomez’s side and doesn’t want to upset her 406 million followers. Stern said, “I better watch what I say.”

Stern said that he wasn’t able to understand the online feud that happened between Hailey Beiber and Gomez’s fans. Stern stated, about Gomez’s influence on her fans,

“When something happens in Selena Gomez’s world, she could destroy you. If you’re going to go against Selena Gomez, you’re going to lose that war.” 

The eyebrow controversy involving Justin Beiber’s wife and Gomez was one of the internet’s hot topics, and due to which Rhode Skin founder was bullied online. The American model received constant hate online, therefore Gomez came to her rescue and requested her 406 million followers to stop the hate game.
