MCU’s Most Ridiculously OP Feats Of Godlike Power That Broke The Internet, Ranked
The MCU has given us some pretty noteworthy moments. But there are times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe of moments of pure, Godlike strength that still astonish us.
Thanos Breaking Vibranium With His Bare Hands
Vibranium is the MCU’s strongest metal. It cannot be broken and is totally shockproof. Bo mortal could even dent it. Seems like nobody told this to Thanos. The Mad Titan came across a Vibranium equipped foe twice, and both these times, he showed even the invincible metal is nothing compared to his strength. Vision, an android made out of pure Vibranium, looked in awe and fear as Thanos literally ripped the mind stone from his head. The second time Thanos made Vibranium his b**ch was when he faced Captain America in Avengers: Endgame. With each swing of Thanos’ sword, Cap’s shield was chipped away little by little until there was nothing left.
Thor Destroying Sokovia
Age Of Ultron may be not as good a movie compared to the other Avengers films. But it did have its moments. It gave us one of the best thor moments in the entire history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After Ultron levitates a huge part of Sokovia in the air in the hopes of using it as a means to kill the planet, Thor goes to work. With one hit, he takes down the entire levitating city. The Vibranium obviously amplifies the God of Thunder’s Mjolnir enforced strike force. But it is a very underrated moment of power fans of the MCU should be talking about more.
Hulk Punching A Jacked Up Surtur
Surtur‘s coming signals the end of days in Norse Mythology. Surtur is the very personification of Ragnarok. When jacked up with the power of the Eternal Flame, Surtur literally becomes a cosmic force of nature. with one swing, he decimates entire swathes of Asgard. But does that stop the Hulk from trying to show the “Big Monster” its place? Hell no!! The Hulk jumps to action, punching Surtur so hard that the guy is forced to use his left arm to keep himself from falling. That is an OP feat of strength from Hulk. The size difference between the two is already so huge and yet the Hulk showed him who’s boss. Had Thor not stopped Hulk, the Jade Giant would have surely killed Surtur.
Surtur Destroying Asgard
While the heroes and the main villains get all the attention in Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, we have to give credit to Surtur for accomplishing what was thought to be totally impossible. The fire demon singlehandedly took down the whole of Asgard. That is no easy feat. And he did so with his power alone. The Eternal Flame, that jacked up Surtur’s abilities,. was the fire demon’s ability to bear. It was his destiny to wield its strength to bring about the onset of Ragnarok. Not even Hela, who singlehandedly destroyed the entire Asgardian army, could defeat Surtur. Surtur’s power is beyond measure and should never be taken lightly. The whole of Asgard is a witness to his strength.
Thor Surviving A Star In Nidavellir
The realm of Nidavellir is home to the genius Dwarven weapon-smiths. It is also home to a miniaturized star around which the legendary dwarven forge is built. After Thor loses Mjolnir, he goes to Nidavellir for a replacement weapon. The Stormbreaker axe is more powerful than Mjolnir but it is not ready. To do so, the iris of the star-powered dwarven forge needs to be kept open. Thor agrees to do it manually, facing the full force of a star at point blank range. Thor has had several OP moments in the MCU but what he did in Nidavellir is the stuff of literal legends.
Hulk Punching The Chitauri Leviathan
The Hulk was only a jade skinned brute that could not be tamed in The Avengers (2012). we all knew he was strong but no one knew just how strong he actually could be. Bruce Banner has been nothing but a nuisance as the Hulk to the Avengers till that point. And then came the Chituari Invasion of New York, led by the Norse God of Mischief. Bruce Banner was a little late to the party. But he ensured the fans knew what the Avengers had at their disposal. As soon as Banner turned into the Hulk, with one punch, he stopped a raging Chitauri Leviathan in his tracks. Case in point the Hulk never lot his footing throughout that scene while the armor clad Chitauri that was coming at the Hulk at full speed died instantly.
Old Loki Creates A Grand Illusion Of Asgard To Distract Alioth
Strength come in many ways. And for different people, the definition changes. The realm of strength for Loki, is in his ability of illusion casting and manipulation. Even mainstream Loki was not sure he was capable of such glorious feats of power until the Classic Old Loki in the Loki series proved it otherwise. After Old Loki realizes a Loki can change his or her fate, Richard E. Grant’s character goes to work. His glorious purpose turns out to be a grand illusion, a recreation of the entire realm of Asgard. That scene gave people goosebumps
