Keanu Reeves John Wick Chapter 5 Is In Early Development
After the mammoth success of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick Chapter 4, action fanatics around the world cannot wait for the next installment.
Lionsgate motion picture group chief, Joe Drake has made some interesting announcements with respect to the John Wick franchise. He spoke about Ballerina, a television series, and even went on to clear the suspense over the fifth installment of the John Wick franchise. During Lionsgate’s quarter 4 2023 earnings call, Joe Drake spoke about the early developments of John Wick Chapter 5. He mentioned-
“What is official is that, as you know, Ballerina is the first spinoff that comes out next year. We’re in development on three others, including [John Wick 5] and including television series The Continental. And so, we’re building out the world and when that [fifth] movie comes, [it] will be organic — will be organically grown out of how we’re starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick.”

Following the release of John Wick Chapter 4, director Chad Stahelski appeared in an episode of the podcast series The Hollywood Reporters Behind the Screen. Chad Stahelski mentioned how the director-actor duo can come up with the plot of the next John Wick installment. He mentioned-
“I think we all need that little bit of time to go, ‘Whew. Let’s see what’s next.’ … If Keanu and I, a few months from now, sit down at a whiskey bar in Japan again and go, Yep, we’ll never do another one of those,’ and then all of a sudden go, ‘Yeah, but I got an idea,’ we’re open to it.”
The storyline and the plot of John Wick’s Chapter 5 have not been revealed. Finally, the green signal for John Wick Chapter 5 has been given by the makers of the multi-million franchise.
John Wick Chapter 4 Officially Enters The $1 Billion Club
The John Wick franchise and its producers are officially billionaires now. According to a recent box office report, the Lionsgate John Wick franchise has officially crossed the billion-dollar mark worldwide. The total collective earnings of the four films of the John Wick franchise have crossed $1.011 billion worldwide.
The Lionsgate Motion Picture Group head Joe Drake spoke about the proud milestone the John Wick franchise has achieved. He stated
“This milestone is a testament to the incredible work of Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves, alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who have made it their mission to outdo themselves with each successive film in this franchise. We could not be more grateful to global moviegoers for bringing us to this incredible achievement.”
